Flew into brisbane airport early in the week and noticed a couple of 717's (think) sitting at the terminal still branded Alliance, Are they still flying and if not, why would they still be sitting at the gates. Cargo doors were up and a couple of people in fluro jackets wandering around. They certainly didnt look like they were in storage
 
They are Fokker 100s and are used for charter by DJ if they are not branded, while the branded ones are FIFO charters and number 17 in total (incl the two 70's), a few over the other side are used for spares such as the ones in US Air colors.

Ok thanks Markis, If DJ use non branded ones then is Alliance still in the chartering FIFO business as these ones still are branded with Alliance

15 of the 17 are used purely for FIFO. You will see 3 F100s coming to Brisbane for Network (QF) soon.
