Anybody know what the bank promo code is when registering on the spg website? Westpac clearly don't after over an hour on the phone. Thanks.

Thought you had to stay one night in an Starwood property and pay with your world MasterCard to qualify as gold. I don't think there's an automatic upgrade.

Yes but you have to register on Spg first before you stay to be eligible for the upgrade. The westpac website has the relevant link to the spg website to enrol but it requires the bank promo code, spg helpdesk confirmed it needs to be supplied by the card issuer, but westpac doesn't seem to know what it is.

Haven't tried calling yet, but doesn't look like this is the valid code anymore? Just tried signing up and it failed (sorry can't link because of the forum restrictions, but it's through the SPG westpac world mastercard site)

I don't know the new code unfortunately. You will need to call Westpac directly. If you call, ask the representative if they can ask a Private Wealth Banker within Westpac for the new bank promo code

I phoned them this morning because I wanted to activate the SPG Gold process before making a booking, but they said there was some sort of outage within Westpac so I was talking to general credit card enquiries who had no idea about it. They promised I'd get a call back from the premium credit card staff within 2 hours, but that has been and gone now.

Anyone had any luck finding out what the code is? (I've got an old Earth Black, apparently now an Altitude Black card).

Ended up using the westpac concierge app to ask - supposedly it's different for everyone. But the guys were super responsive!

Yes, I can confirm it is. Just ring the altitude black number and tell them you want to activate the SPG offer. They will generate a unique code for you to enter on the SPG site. Pretty straightforward.
