Altitude "Cashback"

Received a brochure in the mail today from Westpac offering me the chance to get cashback for my altitude points.

Not appealing at all - $900 for ~230,000 points.
 
Partner's parents received one of these and took it. I said next time - call me and I'll send you the money they are offering ASAP.
 
That seems poor value, when you can get $1200 worth of gift cards (which are as close to cash as you can get) with that many points :shock:
