Q fares on QF do not earn anything on AAdvantage. No miles or EQP.Please check my sums on this cheap Q flight in regards to AAdvantage:

I got $1193.74 return over easter! I am still amazed. The downside is a long transit on tokyo (11 hours) but hell at that price I can eat some great sushi in Tokyo and be back at the airport in heaps of time!
