staying at Melbourne IC Rialto soon as AMB. When I called they said I would be upgraded to a Signature suite but could not tell me which one. The Rialto website says they have Signature Courtyard Suite, Signature Turret Suite, Signature Premium Suite. Anyone have any preference ? The courtyard seems to be smaller, but then has a courtyard. think i'd prefer just a larger one not so fussed on courtyard. those who have stayed let me know what you think please.

I like the Courtyard Suite, would be very good when the weather is great

I'm there next month ( for Conference ). Was thinking of which IHG property would give me best deal.
Finally decided upon IC.
Booked and PRE-PAID for King Deluxe room ...
'Modified' to King Executive.
As a IC Plat. AMB ( with past history of last two years as RA ), is this what would be expected ??
Is "King Executive" a 'suite' ? ( doesn't sound like it )
It seems like a generalised 'one class' upgrade.

I don't think it is a suite. As you mentioned, sounds like a one class upgrade as a minimum standard for what I am familiar with IC MEL.

I personally much preferred the Turret. The Courtyard seemed a little dark and in the end, I never actually used the outdoor area. The Turret felt ,'grander'.

Its not a suite (their Junior suite is not a suite either but that is another thread), the executive rooms are the standard rooms on the top three floors with an Nespresso machine.

I agree that from the photos and the descriptions on the website the Turret does seem "grander". I hope it is considered 1 class above in the upgrade context. The Iconic suite looks amazing also but doubt this would be just 1 class above.

thanks for the review. I saw that a few days ago. (hope you have a better camera/phone by now, or they have added some more lighting in the suite!) the weather looks like it will be a bit avg so outside might be no advantage to us.

I probably should have posted an update a while ago, but we got upgraded to eh Courtyard suite and it was fantastic. That was from booking a Senior Suite. We loved the club. We have never had that before so it was a very nice luxury. We had breakfast in the Club one morning and the other two morning we had it in the restaurant. It was free for all three of us, which I have seen is not always usual, even when you are booking for 3 in the room, often on 2 adults breakfast are included. We are looking to stay there again in April, but we probably wont splurge for the Senior, maybe just the room before the Junior Suite, so we get that room for as the upgrade, even though I know its not a suite, its probably the club access we want, and I understand, unlike IC Sydney, when you get upgraded to a Suite (even if its just a suite in name) you get that access. Anyone know which room I need to book to get that upgraded room?
