Looks like nobody here is yet to offer a referral for the American Express Essential Card, so I'm happy to oblige, and hope fellow AFFers will find my summary useful.
If you hate paying credit card annual fees but still like to earn frequent flyer points, the AMEX Essential Card might just be for you: and by applying via my referral link, you'll earn a higher statement credit than you'd otherwise receive by applying direct to AMEX!
Here's the deal:
(A statement credit is just that: a credit on your bill. You still need to pay at least the minimum monthly payment due, but for example, if you spent $750 in the first month, you'd get a $75 statement credit, lowering your outstanding balance to $675 - pretty neat, huh?)
On the points side, you'll also earn:

Also included at no charge:
This card won't be for everybody, but if you're new to the credit card points game, or you just want to discover where American Express is accepted without committing to a card with an annual charge, the Essential card is a great place to start. With a minimum household income requirement of just $40,000 per year before tax, it's also one of the easiest AMEX cards to get your hands on! Not to mention the lack of annual fee, which makes the card completely free!
You can apply here!
(When clicking the link, you'll first see the black Explorer card: so just click on the white Essential card to the side or at the bottom to unlock this deal.)
By using this referral link, you'll earn a higher statement credit ($75) than available via AMEX's public offer ($50), while I'll earn a much-appreciated 10,000 Gateway points for introducing you to this card, so it's a win-win.
