American Express Explorer Domestic flight insurance

So if you use the Travel credit and pay the rest for flights does the domestic flight insurance cover COVID no fly on booked flights????

So it turns out $250 is the excess.
No COVID discount.
Now I've had my QANTAS flights cancelled and given credit but the email or Amex page does not say how much credit
I'm calling them now and on hold to see if I can find out.... seriously.....
