The process of setting this card up has been a pain. Turns out the Amex person in Sydney doing my application, misspelled my email address (used an “s” instead of a “c”. This meant trying to deal with a very twangy / nasally girl in a Philippines based Call centre. The obsequious language that passes for politeness is annoying. And why oh why do they not teach the phonetic alphabet to their call centre staff? Ok I’m just being grumpy now.
In any event, what should have been a short on line process turned into a tedious and unnecessarily long process. Mind you I still had to change my postal address, no one listens to me when I say I don’t want mail being sent to my home address.
I digress. So far I have been able to set up the following
1. Subscription to the Fin Review
2. New Avis number. (My old one has been working fine for years , so no big deal)
3. I “think” I am registered for the travel credit......
4. That’s about it.
