Amex Centurion Card eligibility in Australia

Has anyone tried the Prada wearable? Didn't work on my first try, my wrist is tiny though.

@albyd , how does one get a complimentary transfer on an SQ redemption booking? Your RM organised it?
My experience has been keeping my RM doing all the work for hotels etc, then in the lead up to everything being finalised he asks what time works for us to be picked up from home.

I wonder if your RM will take me on! Our transfer is at least AUD$500.00 each way.

I’m not entirely sure. I handled the long haul bookings myself. My RM booked some short haul business class flights & said she was able to do this for me. I dint question it too much. Was a nice extra.

No I haven't tried. I will be taking it to Europe. Might try in Singapore first. I like the idea of not having to take a wallet with me. I hate using tap and pay on my phone.

Hahah seems you are far away from the airport? We are southeast melb.

Yep - mine was similar to this, was just kind of included as a thank you.

I'm in Sydney and I think my RMs are based here. Will pop into Prada to get it personalised and maybe they can help.
Don't have a rapport yet with my latest RM but will try that next time to get a comp transfer.

I handed Centurion back, actually bent it in half about 7 years ago, after a few years of benefit diminutions. I still have cards which are perfectly adequate for my purposes. At the time concierge was ineffective and couldn't achieve better priced travel than I could.
They said I couldn't have it back, which is fine, but I'm sure my AMEX handler could make it happen. :)
Total spend across AMEX cards currently is about $0.7M/month.

OMG ! That's a strong number, nice one!

You do know that the ATO accepts Amex? So if you have a business you can pay all the PAYG with your Amex. And personal taxes too.

Probably only worthwhile if the cards fees are, in some way, tax deductible though.

And you only get half points for government payments on Amex direct. So using a service like Sniip would cost about as much and you’d get the full complement of points.

I was knocked back for a Centurion application earlier this year. Then today, I had an email from "Centurion By Invitation" asking if I'd like "discuss the benefits and experiences included in this exclusive invitation" ...

The only thing I can think of is that with a largeish business expense, I've just tipped over the 10 million MR points mark. Does anyone know if this is a trigger to be offered the card?

My personal circumstances right now don't really make the card worth it (one toddler + one old dog that can't be left with anyone = bugger all travel prospects for the next 18-24 mths) but I'm wondering if taking on the card for a couple of years before I'm able to use the concierge to something approaching full benefit might be worth it in the longer run.

Curious what your typical monthly spend is like.... Understand if you don't want to say!

See my above posts for more context....

Also, congrats on passing the 10M mark! Even at the new reduced transfer rates, that is still a healthy amount of travel :)

Sure no worries. My business is in adtech and we pay a bill to one of the big Silicon Valley ad platforms of $300-400k each month. All on a business Platinum card.

There's probably another 50-70k per month in other business expenses paid on the card, but that's the big one.

Just to add context, I did 800k in a year, of this luxury spend woudl have been about $20,

applied to centurion for fun, got declined /no reply

from a logical sense, i have no right for one, unless its purely based on Turnover

Is there any different in terms of spending requirements between personal & business?

Currently doing about 30k/month from the beginning of this year on personal.

Don't think it's even close to apply for one
