Amex Centurion Card eligibility in Australia

No.
We just received a new Blacklane spend $125 receive $125 credit per quarter.

Note we receive free Blacklane with every domestic and international business/first trip booked via our relationship manager.

No travel credit.
No dining.

Does the Centurion card also come with free plat cards though (for some reason that sounds familiar)?

Yes. 1x additional centurion.

4x plat charge cards.

Is one of those considered a "primary" play charge card that has all the benefits of a normal primary plat charge? Ie, travel, dining, priority pass etc?

Unfortunately not 🤣. Would be nice.

I did keep my $400 Plat Reserve travel credit when I changed over the Centurion even though it had been grandfathered. That was as sweet as it got. And I believe that's purely because I didn't have to close it, otherwise if I wanted to apply at a later date it would (obviously) not be the case.

So the plat card that come with Cen won’t hv all the plat benefits … except the reserve ……
Plat card doesn't come with Centurion.

Centurion is a separate product. A part of that product is platinum charge cards are given as additional cards for the Primary Centurion account holder. I guess it limits the amount centurion cards in the wild.

Reserve is a separate product so that's why it has full benefits. E.g they have to do a credit check to issue it.

You have to apply for the Reserve separately. I think new Reserve cards have lost the Travel Credit so if you don’t have one by now, it’s not worth applying for it other than to get Amex offers on it if they’re worth anything to you.

Thx… so if a Cen primary holder apply for Cen under his/her account, which alllows four … the four Plat cards won’t have a Plat benefit, which usually come with the Plat card ….

The cards will get some of the Plat benefits like Plaza Premium lounges, Amex lounges, VAd lounges, etc. Exactly the same as what regular Plat supp card holders would get.

Yes and travel insurance of course.

Thought I'd give a quick update, and capture some data here.

Quick stats:

Spend in last 12 months
Plat: 1.2M
Plat edge: 0.35M

So $1,550,000 for the year

Did circa 1400 transactions, so its not like I do 100k a month with one advertiser supplier or anything obvious like that.

The spend is spread across a broad range of merchants, and is mix of business and personal.

I can't see where to download an annual statement anywhere online? So its hard to define the exact ratio, and I had to pull the top line data from my accounting package

Never late, always BPay the statement balance in one transfer a few days before due date.

Spend heaps with Langtons, and Amex travel etc.

Spend is increasing: did 200k last month..

Still no organic centurion invite!!! :-(

I am going to put in an EOI, and ill see how it goes.

Yet touted as 'Your elevated benefits are here'. When really, it was just Accor ALL Platinum.
ALL Platinum is not a bad benefit to include - particularly with lounge access at Softel Sydney Darling Harbour. Although it's certainly not that hard to hit the spend requirements with Accor to hit platinum.
