Are there any Australian bank issued Amex cards that would allow free access to the USA Amex centurion lounges?

I read a platinum level Amex issued from non USA banks would still allow free access. Do our big 4 banks have platinum level Amex cards? It is a bit unclear on the USA centurion lounge site.

Yes, Aussie banks do issue Amex branded platinum cards but i doubt if these would be acceptable for Centurion lounge entry.

My interpretation would be that you would need a Centurion or Amex Platinum Card (i.e. the one with the $1,200 annual fee) to gain free entry. If you have any other Amex card, then you can gain entry for $50 per visit. Happy to stand corrected on that though.

Yes, that's correct. Either of those cards will get you in. Any of the bank issued cards aren't eligible - must be the Amex issued cards.
