Amex for rental car excess

We have had a small accident in our rental car (Enterprise Canada) - we have travel insurance up to $5k for rental car excess - but does our Amex cover this and / or cover it for a different amount?

We’ve been told a quote for the damage could take 2-3 weeks…

Has anyone used their Amex to cover rental vehicle damage or excess?

Any pointers or tips?
We can’t do much until we get the bill I assume…

You could try actually reading the PDS!

There are a few things you need to do:
1. What type of AMEX card you used to pay for the car rental? (Each card has a different T&C and PDS for their insurance)
2. I do know AMEX Platinum Charge and AMEX Explorer have that "Loss Damage Waiver Cover" so this might help you.
