Amex Lounge - Rod Laver Arena

I was looking at stopping here in the upcoming week for the Kylie concert at Rod Laver Arena to meet some friends. Not expecting big things, hopefully just a more relaxed space to purchase some food and drink out of the mayhem of crowds before the show. Has anybody been recently and have any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks!

Every hospitality AMEX lounge I have attempted to enter at a venue has been too small for the amount of people wanting to use it, and I've chosen not to wait in the very long line of people wanting to enter. I hope you have better luck.

I have been to the Amex lounge - small/crowded not many options. However (as I did last night for Bryan Adams) book the Railyards restaurant at RLA.
It means you enter far right of the entrance and avoid all the q’s /scanned in quick and easy. Comfortable - many QR food order options/good tasty food/plenty of room and multiple clean bathrooms.
Menu and bookings here.
Dont expect to walk in and get a seat.
Worth it just to get quick access to RLA

I've been a few times to the AMEX Lounge at RLA and I have found it pretty good. It can get busy but I wouldn't say it gets crowded. It's certainly a lot better than the crushing crowds and long queues outside in the concourse.

If you plan on going there 20 minutes before the show starts with high expectations then you might be disappointed as it will be busy by then. My plan has been to go to RLA a bit earlier to avoid the crowds at the ticket and security queue, get into the AMEX lounge early and settle down and have a couple of drinks and a snack (not much difference for me to a lounge visit at an airport before a flight). I'll be there on Thursday night for Kylie.
