AMEX offer: Spend $350 or more and get $50 back

Purchased a voucher and a flight so combined have spent over $350, no email confirming my spend yet which is strange. Normally any offer is "logged' straight away and an email sent.

Will update on the progress

I've spent $500 on a QF voucher with WBC Amex a few days ago and I've received no email or credit to date. Spent over $1,000 on a QF flight with NAB Amex at the same time and same thing, no email or credit. Have got another flight to book tomorrow using my Amex Plat Charge so will see how we go. In the past, I've always at least received an email shortly after making an eligible purchase.

I bought a flight (~$3k) on my WBC Amex (got a registration email) but no confirmation of spend email from amex.
Also bought ~$800 on my Velocity Amex and immediately got a confirmation from Amex Network confirming the $50.
Hopefully I can still get the statement credit on the first - every little bit counts!

Anyone know if you'll get credit for an exHKG fare thats been bought with a voucher?

I spoke too soon - the credits have just appeared in both my accounts and I didn't receive an email, just as madrooster had experienced with Dan Murphy's. Nice one! ;)

Great to hear. That's proof positive that purchasing flight vouchers qualify for this promotion.

Couldn't register using the original link, but followed the thoughtfully provided manual input link and that worked fine!

Immediately got a confirmation email.

Now hopefully I will get a credit for the spend done last week (not holding my breath however!!) .....

I bought a voucher the other day and no email but sure enough credit in the account.

Voucher purchased 10/9 credit 11/9

Cheeky question time... I have an additional card (A/C) on my Amex Plat Charge - I've registered it for this promotion, as I did my primary card - is it eligible for the credit if I have already redeemed it on the primary card? The Offer Terms do state:

... the offer is limited to one statement credit per registered Card.
but it doesn't straight out say that the offer is limited to one statement credit - what about if you have two registered cards on the same account - has anyone actually tested this?

From reading replies on the Amex Statement Credit thread, supplementary cards also qualify so you can get multiple credits.

Managed to register my Amex card.

Now to book some flights > $350.

Splintering cards generally work ... but they need to be registered separately.

The bonus can be trigerred by several transactions totalling $350 or more . Eg 2 @$125 + 1 @$100.

Thanks. Still have some gift vouchers I was going to use but $50 off is $50 off.

I didn't catch this, but it's useful. Might book a couple of return domestic trips which would have been under threshold!

Found out about this (and registered) literally an hour after booking $1,300 worth of QF fares... I can but hope that the Amex rewards system processes my transactions after it processes my reward registration. Anyone got experience with this?

Generally you should be fine, if you registered before the transaction settles.

Just received this email from AMEX today:

"Hello Qantas21,
You've still got time to redeem your Amex Offer. And you've already saved it to your Card so you can take advantage of it right now.
Simply use your registered American Express® Card and make the qualifying purchase at qantas.com of $250 to get a $50 statement credit.
Statement credits are generally issued within 5 business days of an eligible transaction.
But be quick - this offer is only available until 4 October 2015."

An email error or AMEX lowering the required spend because I haven't taken the offer up yet?

I also got the same email - with $250 too.

I wonder if we'll receive a follow-up correction email tomorrow. Sure would be nice though if the qualifying spend has indeed been reduced to $250. Am leaving the purchase of flight vouchers on my registered cards to the last day.
