Available now until 9th March. Get a massive 250,000 bonus Membership Rewards points and get a $500 credit back.
Please use my referral code below. I will also receive 55,000 MR points for successful referrals. I thank you in advance :)

With travel now opened/opening most countries, now is the perfect time to get back on this card with the huge bonus point offer + the $500 credit to offset the annual fee.

Just a reminder what you get with this card - here is an overview:
  • Points Earn: 2.25 points per $1 spent (equal to 1.125 Krisflyer points per $1)
  • 250,000 Bonus Points which translates into 125,000 Airline Miles (limited time) - this is enough for business class return trip to SE Asia
  • $500 back to your Card when you meet min. spend (limited time)
  • $450 Travel Credit each year you hold the Card
  • Fine Hotels & Resorts access – expect free upgrades (subject to availability), 4 PM checkout and at least US$100 hotel/resort credits.
  • Free $399 Accor Plus Membership – you get a free night stay + up to 50% discount on dining
  • Elite Hotel Status – Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite, Hilton Honors Gold and Raddison Rewards Gold Elite
  • Access to over 1000 lounges globally, including Virgin Australia lounges, American Express lounges, Priority Pass, Plaza Premium, Delta Skyclub
  • American Express Platinum Travel – get access to a dedicated team of travel agents and discounted premium fares.
  • Rental Car Elite Status – Hertz Gold Plus Five Star and Avis Preferred Plus status
  • Amex Platinum Insurance – multiple insurance benefits, including travel, purchase, cellphone screen cover and more
  • Add up to 4 supplementary card holder for free and they can receive some of the same great benefits while travelling.

The annual fee of $1,450 is high compared to other cards but if you take away the following for the first year, it is a great card for all the benefits:
- Minus $500 credit back offer
- Minus $450 Travel credit
- Minus $399 Accor Membership which gives you a free night at Sofitel or other accor portfolio
This leaves a remaining $101 annual fee to get 250,000 MR points!! <-- which is worth at least $1,500!!

To qualify, please signup through the link below, apply for the card, be approved, and spend $5000 in the first 3 months of card membership.
You must also not have held any other American Express card in the past 18 months

If you have any questions regarding this card, please feel free to ask in this thread or PM me directly.

Anyone had any experience moving from the Qantas Amex Ultimate to the Platinum charge recently, particularly when it comes to the sign on bonus? I know technically existing card holders are not eligible but keen to hear any recent real world experiences.

The terms and conditions says the following "Card Members who currently hold or who have previously held any other Consumer Credit Card product issued by American Express Australia Limited in the preceding 18 month period are ineligible for this offer."

But then it also have this on the website... If you are self-employed and hold an existing AMEX card, are you still eligible for the bonus offer? So confusing.1644205801849.png

Anyway, this is my experience late last year when the Explorer card had a huge bonus.
I referred the missus thinking she was well past the 18months wait. It turns out she canned her card August 2020 and was approved for the explorer December 2021. I still got my referral bonus and she is eligible for the bonus points because it was a referral link. Maybe they are more lenient on referrals? I don't know - this was a mistake on my part but it worked out. I wouldn't have tried knowingly though.

If you are interested with the card and the products services still offers you good value, then I guess you could try it with my link. I'll have my fingers and toes crossed :)

Try the link a few times and you should get the 300,000 points and 500 credit offer instead of only 250,000

Care to elaborate on this. It'll be good because I'm hoping one of mates is going to sign up, this will be huge for them!
Do they keep clicking and closing the link until it changes to 300k?
I tried 5 times and it didn't work. I also tried your link.. haha

I’m less valuable to Amex ineligible as I already hold an Amex product, but the 300k offer appeared as a pop up for me first time.

I’ve found the 300k offer usually pops up if you haven’t visited the Amex site recently.
