Super lax approval process - my income is well below the "$100k" listed.
No payslips submitted. I've changed jobs this year as well. No expenses entered. Just usual contact/personal ID info.

I have had a number of Amex cards (nearly all types 2xQF / 1xReserve / 1xPlCharge / 2xDJ's) in the past but not for past 19mths. Guessing they pulled this history. Noting also this'll be my ~27th card in past ~5yrs (all paid in full etc.) #churnandburnbaby!

This was my experience too when applying for the card 2 years ago. Never asked to verify income or anything at all.

Also I think you can cancel before the annual fee is paid. Because it doesn’t get charged until the end of the first statement period. So it you meet your spend quickly and use the bonuses then in theory you could cancel before it hits. This could reduce your chances of easy approval next time though.

Sucks that they wouldn't increase yours! Might be worth it to try again with a different rep.

Only certain accounts have these higher offers. Sudoer and I always seem to get the same ones. I think to trigger it you need to have already had a successful referral in the past 12 months.
