What the title says, for amex platinum cardholders, how long did it take for your card to arrive?

Usually within a business day or two of approval

3-4 days for me a few years back. Sent via DHL, they didn't even attempt to deliver to the unit I was living in at the time and took it to a nearby newsagent collection point

Did you sign up with a special promotion? I’ve been thinking of applying one for awhile now and I’m in the clear since I cancelled my AMEX cards more than 18 months ago.

Got a supplementary card for my daughter a couple of weeks ago. Card approved on Sunday and received on Wednesday.

that doesnt sound very platinum to me

4-5 business days for me a couple of weeks ago.

Applied Friday 24 January, shipped Tuesday 28 January (after the long weekend), arrived Friday 31 January. I'm in Darwin so might have taken a bit longer to arrive.

Got a tracking number from DHL directly and Amex sent me email updates as well.

Same timeframe for supplementary cards - except they were sent via Australia Post Express Post.

I got the 275,000 points in my account last night, less than 24 hours after reaching the purchase threshold.

thanks everyone, its good to know ill get my card quickly than compared to westpac who takes weeks then stuffs it in the newspaper holder.

To be fair, Westpac have a digital card you can add to mobile wallet once approved while waiting for your physical card to arrive

Last year my existing Amex platinum had an attempted fraud. I was phoned by Amex and I thought the call was a fraud. However it was real as I contacted Amex. They cancelled my card and arranged a new card

The replacement card miraculously arrived the following day having been sent from Australia (and I am in New Zealand)
