Amex Points for Buying Alcohol on Platinum Edge.

Just for the record, I get 2 points per $ at Dan Murphy's on my Amex Platinum Edge, and because I am Local Champion, an additional 1 bonus point. So, for me, 3pts/$.

YMMV.

I have always purchased a $500 Woolies gift card for the 3 points + 1 Qantas using the woolies rewards card + 1 point for local hero.. Then I go off to Dan's and buy 2 months worth of wine etc. Slightly off the topic, does anyone know if AMEX Edge regard ALDi as a supermarket??

I'm not going to go home and buy Coles vouchers hoping that the bottles are still there next time I visit.

The trick is to be organised and carry Coles gift cards and Wish gift cards with you at all times

Do Aldi take AMEX??? Mine doesn't and it also has a surcharge for any credit card purchase

I have only ever been in Aldi half a doz times but they never accepted AMEX.
