I just added my SPG account to my Amex profile tonight.

How long will it take to become an active transfer partner?

Mal, when I added Starwood to Amex it was active the following morning. I have done two transfers so far and the points hit the Starwood account the next business day after you transfer them.

As posted by futaris, transfer between two SPG accounts is fine as long as they are both at the same residential address. This can only be done over the phone.

I did this in early June from Jenny's to mine; no cost other than the 'phone call.

That's good news, I was shocked when I saw what AA charges to transfer from one account to another! :shock:
