Is it my imagination or are the latest lot of changes to Amex website (about 2 days ago) look like they have standardised on the mobile design where everything is much bigger font?

It is fine if you are using smartphone/iPad but not really suitable for a laptop.

With Amex having recently "enhanced" the points earn on ATO payments and other stuff they have been reduced to a bit player in my life from a card of choice up to July this year. I may drop these direct cards despite having been a member for 30 plus years.
I now seem to answer more surveys than use these cards but my survey responses have not resulted in changes from Amex Ultimate.
I get a few retail bonus points and that is about it.
I use an IPad rather than a smartphone to access their site and it still works ok for me.

[-]You can bypass the horrible resource hungry new front page by using a link.

Don't have it to hand but it relates to the "view transactions" link on the new page.[/-]

Link no longer works sadly.

I simply click the "VIEW TRANSACTIONS" link ASAP.

I like it - happy they got rid of the wagon wheel.

Really like seeing earnings of 3x and 2x for all my spend on the Ult card. If you're a big spender on airlines/hotels/restaurants/foreign $ - the Ult card is a great earner.

No you are not imagining things. Does look very similar to the mobile site.

I'm seeing a trend on many websites of increasing their font size to make their site more tablet-mobile friendly.

I like the changes and it works well for me on my ipad.

Following my frank conversation with an Amex rep about my $100+ hotel phone bill, I noticed a positive change to the Amex iPhone app also. I'd previously called to advise of my lost card while travelling. Turns out the number on the app was not a toll free number for overseas callers (screen capped before the change). The app now has 3 contact options one of which is a lost card option, and while it doesn't state it's toll free, through my experience I confirm it is. I should've questioned if it was toll free call to save the headache but at least it's a positive change for others.
