And that’s all folks! Thanks for following
Well it’s the same service same people so if you can get a cheaper price with Africa Travel Co book directly with them as not advantage or disadvantage I could see. While the truck (they don’t call it a bus, even have shirts saying that) has both bands on it the guide mostly talks about On The Go but really no difference.Hi, very late to this, but thinking of a similar trip in 2019. I wonder though, whats the point of on the go travel? vs booking direct with africa travel co who operate the bus themselves? Im guessing you didn't know prior to booking with on the go its not their bus? any advantage using the booking agent vs direct that you see?

The dates and itinerary lined up with what I wanted to do. I’d also had a good prior experience with OTG Tours which I felt was important for such a long overland camping trip. Additionally I found some good reviews as well.also, how did you pick them over say acacia africa or africa overland? im in a quagmire of these trips and your review has only added too it! (in a good way!)
Just replied to your private message. In short laundry does need to be managed a bit but can be fine if you can be covered for 5-7 days, guide should highlight opportunities during welcome meeting for camping trips, ground mat will be provided.Hi coyote, looks like we may be booking this soon, we've done a stack of research to date and is looking promising. I hope you don't mind a couple of questions more?
How do you go with laundry? I backpacked for 1 yr in South america and laundry was easy to do, and with modern hiking clothing meaning 2 or 3 days use wasnt horrible for clothes between washes. However how i see it, laundry on this trip would only be possible im zanzibar, vic falls and maybe lake malawi. Do you need to account for this when packing?
Did you take some sort of ground mat as well as a sleeping bag?
How good of a sleeping bag did you take?
Thanks, your review spurred us on to research more and get this trip under way!
Awesome while it’s unlikely they we recall who I am say hi when Nathan from Australia who travelled with them back in late 2017 and early 2018.I'm on in swakpomund on this trip right now! 1 week left to cape town. It's been amazing (except for a lazy, lying, selfish american woman along for the full 56 days). Aloise and Duncan are driver and cook as you had. Thanks for the blog, its helped a heap with knowing what we are in for each day! Mostly the same, a few changes here and there.
