Not sure how you managed that. Three hours was quoted when I passed through one early morning last month. Very busy generally, no lounge seating available but plenty of those uncomfortable swivel seats at the long dining tables were free.RE: showers. I passed through Haneda J lounge the other week and snagged a shower within ten minutes. The lounge itself was a zoo, no surprize NH doesn't want more people with access
Be careful to book the VA codeshare then...as it seems like the baggage allowance only applies to Japanese domestic flights with a VA flight number. As a skier, the increased baggage allowance would be my number one
This is the biggest thing skipped over in the articles I've read.Be careful to book the VA codeshare then...as it seems like the baggage allowance only applies to Japanese domestic flights with a VA flight number.
"4. These Velocity Status benefits are only available on ANA operated flights from Australia to Japan with a VA or NH flight number, and ANA operated flight within Japan with a VA flight number."
It’s for an internal Japan ANA flight, booked directly with ANA. Emailed them, but response not helpful, just directed me back to website. Looks like try at airport, but more likely a retro claim. Seems like a fairly basic component to have in place when announcing a new partnership.Probably have to phone the ANA call center, either in Aust or in Japan, or the Philippines, or where ever it is.
In the past, to fly internationally, as a VFF, a customer had to book on the partner airline's website.
Has that changed now, haven't check lately.
Happy to report that Miles and SC on NH sectors credited after a couple of days. Pretty meager mileage earnings without the WP bonus but oh well the SC is nice. Oddly enough UA sectors flown after were credited before.View attachment 336815
Day 3 and this happened. I had inputted my VA number via the UA website. For the longest time it showed as « Virgin Australia » on the ANA website before turning to « Velocity Frequent Flyer » a couple days ago so I’m not sure if inputting it manually through NH channels works.
But for now looks like its working, mind you this is on an itinerary that doesn’t touch Australia. I’ll report if I get any SC/Miles.
Thanks for chat tip, but got through to agent who couldn’t add VFF details either. Recommended trying at airport, can’t imagine that will end any differently.Happy to report that Miles and SC on NH sectors credited after a couple of days. You can reach an ana agent through the auto chatbot on the website, thats an alternative to enter your VFF number in.
Wow! That's a massive change from the last time I flew ANA from SYD-HND-FRA. It was during covid. SYD was deserted, only 1 coffee shop open, no lounges. At HND they showed us to the First Class Lounge (flying J) and we were there for about 10 hours meeting just a handful of other guests. But the showers were closed.Yep. Took this photo two months ago in Haneda. 6~7 hour wait for the shower . Also overheard lounge desk turning away *G pax flying on non-NH airlines due to capacity reasons.

Worst case - just claim missing miles after you return. A bit of a pain though. Thanks for chat tip, but got through to agent who couldn’t add VFF details either. Recommended trying at airport, can’t imagine that will end any differently.
Yeah, the Suite Lounge is nice I'm sure but unfortunately access is only for F tickets and ANA Diamond members. I hope with T2 open for some Intl' flights they solve the crowding somewhat, but I'm not hopeful.Wow! That's a massive change from the last time I flew ANA from SYD-HND-FRA. It was during covid. Double status credits is only on VA metal. So you'll have to fly CNS<>HND if you want 2x SC to Japan.Hey, with the DSC offer I'm trying to work out if it makes sense to switch to VA/NH for Japan business trips.
Just wanr to confirm, SYD<> HND direct would fall under
35 (choice) , 60 (flex) , 120 (business) booked as a VA code right? (30/60/90/120 if NH)?
I wasn't about to do SYD > CNS > HND but if NH direct from SYD can earn VFF status and points, I might consider more seriously over QF/JL
Ah yes forgot about that requirement.Double status credits is only on VA metal. So you'll have to fly CNS<>HND if you want 2x SC to Japan.

But you can earn standard SCs on either NH prime or VA codeshare.

Did you get your miles/SC? Still nothing for me despite seeming to add VFF details successfully to ANA booking end of July. Going through retro claim, but not expecting quick resolution.I just successfully added my VFF number to an upcoming NH flight. I used the mobile version of the website clicked through via the link from the reservation email. Dunno if that matters but it didn't work a week ago on the desktop website.
Sorry my flights are in early November. Hopefully they sort it out before then!Did you get your miles/SC? Still nothing for me despite seeming to add VFF details successfully to ANA booking end of July. Going through retro claim, but not expecting quick resolution.
