ANA to fly Tokyo - Perth

I am also waiting for news as I was a regular on this flight.

My Japanese contacts in Perth also don't know but we know the WA government is working on it.

When I hear, I will post an update.

Keeping an eye on this with interest as well. Still holding out hope of a QF/JL alternative.

Perth Airport are optimistic this route will come back and are earmarking this to return in Q2 next year

Would be better if it was Q1!! But yes, if there was a JAL/QF alternative to this I would also be on it frequently. Having done the QF route way back when, I much, much preferred the direct flight rather than having to connect in SIN, KUL, SYD, or other. Not that there's anything wrong with those airports, it's just easier not having to connect.

Okay I used the ANA chat service and got this response

Thanks for that. I didn't consider just asking the airline! :/

I feel like there's normally some PR talking points out in the wild that aren't necessarily part of the current script at the call centre though, so here's hoping that the stories about Perth Airport and the WA government pushing to get this back are true.

I have a reminder to regular check the ANA special link that was provided and will be continual asking the local Japanese community.

Hoping the service may resume in March in line with the bi-yearly schedule changes.

One would hope that MEL makes an appearance before PER
I'd like this too but since they're continuing with the preCOVID plan of using their second HND slot to go double-daily SYD, it'll have to be NRT.

That's would offer some onward connectivity, though, which would be good if they ever get the FF reciprocity live with VA/Velocity.

You would think/hope that the partnership would be live for the initial CNS-HND service but this is VA we are talking about 🤣

Out of interest I had a look at flying Perth/Frankfurt in Nov/Dec. The cheapest J fare I could find was a "Business Special Plus" fare of $19,124 for 2. It required a "self arranged transfer" between Haneda and Narita plus long layovers both ways.

Fantastic news. With another local carrier, becoming increasingly interested in the HSBC CC with *A status...

Just thought that someone might find it useful.

Noticing some award flights starting to show on the route on Lifemiles, Aeroplan and Air NZ.
It looks like just one seat per flight at this stage.
Does anyone know if NH releases more seats closer to the departure dates?
