ANA/UA Business class Jakarta to NYC (EWR) - US$2,515

You can get QR from CGK to JFK (booking through American Airlines, with an AA flight number on the DOH-JFK leg) for under AUD4,000 return in J as well :)

It's also possible to get AA metal on the DOH-JFK leg, if you prefer that for some reason.

Ah cool, I missed that.

Yes, it's still available - I just spotted it on ITA Matrix. There doesn't seem to be an end date on that fare, but the DOH-JFK leg needs to be between Monday-Thursday as it's a midweek special.

Just saw the article compiling these deals. Does beg the question why are there all these deals from CGK?

There was also a deal ex NYC to CGK via Japan and Oz JFK (AA) LAX (JL or AA) HND (QF) SYD (QF) CGK return that got a lot of excitement over on FlyerTalk:

Personally I’ve been using CGK as a stepping stone for years and there always seems to be good sales ex CGK and if not then MNL is pretty good too.
