Amazing TR and sounds like a great time. Few tight margins with airport arrivals etc. At least you made it out of ZQN ok!

I've had to read this over 3 consecutive days!

A fine report though. :)

Serious question: How frequently (and how meticulously) do you take notes/record your experiences? I can't imagine you would rely on your memory at the conclusion of the trip!

My record keeping stuff:
  • Retain all boarding passes; on the back I write:
    • Operating equipment
    • Registration (and later use QFlyer to look up QF aircraft names)
    • Gate number of departing port
    • Gate number of arriving port
    • Sometimes, the name of the flight attendants (including CSM/CSD/Purser/etc.); I don't write down the name of the captain or first officer. I'm trying to be more vigilant in getting the names of the FAs at least.
    • Rarely, brief notes about the service on the flight - usually only if this sticks out in my mind (i.e. it was really good).
  • Photos and their timestamps are a good mark of time and what I did. I also snap all menus that I cannot keep for transcription later. Snapping photos of food is also a good record of everything.
  • I usually keep hotel keys/key wallets (depending on whether I can keep them or not).

Apart from that, I don't keep any other particular notes. So really, most of what you have read is mostly recalled from memory.

If I had more time on my hands and perhaps took more notes, I could perhaps aspire to be a more prolific writer of the likes of Skyring, Seat 2A (FT), Moomba (FT), GoldFlyer (FT) or Lindsay Wilson just to name a few.

I, too, took a few days to read your TR and I reeeeeeeeeeally enjoyed it! I was so envious with the exception of the CBR overnighter.

So how many of us stayed up past our bed times to finish reading this report. ;)

Nice report; lots of detail.

WOW!!! All i can say is I'm not quite sure what took more dedication - the trip itself, the TR writing or the TR reading!

Well done anat0l and i take my hat off to you for being able to do it and of course actually doing it. Well done on the op-ups - you did deserve them after all, for that week I'm sure you were their most CIP!

And for the record it took me a whole 2 days to get through...

Keeep 'em coming anat0l - excellent report.

I can understand anyone travelling in First not wanting to climb that staircase and seeing those remaindermen slumming in business class ;)

Thats one monster of a trip, you're like the god of TRs, its so detailed, took me about 4 hours to read it right through:lol:

Good work

Cheers,
Josh:p

Bow down to my greatness, lowly human writer.

Just kidding, and I take no credit in being "good" at TRs when there are several out there (including on this forum) who are more deserving of that mantle.

In any case, you seem to have done better than some on this forum re: time to read this TR.

My current TR is for a vacation much longer than this, and I don't intend to go into super duper detail about it. In any case, I hope it is just as entertaining.

Normally I'd be waiting to read it, as I can't remember lots of parts of a vacation due to imbibing on the good stuff ;) but given I didn't really do that much at all, moot point! :D
