I am watching the forecasts for BNE closely. On Thursday if the BOM are right a high chance that at least some flights will be cancelled but at the moment for Friday forecasts are for gusts up to 60Kph so should be fine. Latest forecast though now has Thursday's average wind speed as ~ 60Kph with gusts up to ~ 90Kph.

And don't take notice of the TV news forecasts. channel 7 last night that Alfred will cross the coast as a Category 2 cyclone with gusts up to 120Kph. That is only a Category 1 cyclone. and as above the official BOM forecast is for Gusts up to 90Kph and sustained wind speeds at 60Kph which makes it a tropical storm not a cyclone. However storms can produce more rains than cyclones.

No plans but travelling solo so definitely keen to hang out with someone 😂
I am also travelling solo, so equally keen to join whatever 😁

I'm also moving from the Mercure to the Pullman. There's currently an Amex offer for $80 back on a $400 spend at a few Pullmans in ANZ (on my Plat charge, unsure if other cards have the same), and the price of the Pullman has dropped since I last checked for next weekend.

See you guys soon!

I'm thinking of checking out the Weta workshop on the Sat morning. I'm hesitant to commit to anything that involves the whole day.

I considered doing something on Saturday, but this will be my 152nd Flight involving AKL; I am not sure there is anything that interests me that I have not done before.

Also, since I am unlikely to make it to the Holiday Inn AKL airport before 1am, I will endeavour to get a late check out, relax and make my way Sat. arvo to the Hilton.
