It's all very interesting, thanks for the info on these runs guys.
Thankfully I don't have to make SC runs as I spend enough time in the air for business and I always have a flexi return ticket so retaining WP hasn't ever in doubt.

However with the economic downturn my travel may begin to taper slightly so it's nice to know of the best SC runs to go on (if it gets to that!)

The run was worth 100 SC; cost was $587 including the c/c charge.

If you add my taxi fares for the overnight in CBR, that probably bumps up to ~$630. I didn't add the hotel charge since I used points for that (thanks Amex ), but that's something else to consider.

Was a good read, I enjoyed it very much. I'd love to do one of these some time myself. With the current sale fares I managed to find a price of $397.50 for return flights on that same itinerary.
