Yer yer i know NOT another one.

But you guys are so good at this stuff and without your help i wont get to platinum and i would really like to experience it.
:D I will need 350 after all my travel i have left book for my 12 month date (End July) and have about 130,000 points to use. Melb will be the start. So if you could help or have seen any routes that can get me over the line would be great. I have read/looked over the status run thread so i am keeping an eye on some routes. PM me if you have some that you want to keep quite. Any help would be great.

Or if i could get 470 before the 27th of may for not too much cash i could take the wife to be in there before we head to Thailand to get married.

Thanks

MEL-ASP might be a starting point, however I would not book anything until after March 30, DSC often come out en masse after easter. 48K + $291 in J via SYD, earns around 4K of points and 120 SC each way.

Also look at the Hobart Express, HBA-SYD-CBR or the reverse on a JASA - at it's cheapest you can get 200SC for 32,000pts plus $250. Then combine with a double status credits offer hopefully :)

Not cheap when positioning flights are needed and there is poor availability, for $ per SC the ASP run makes a lot of sense for MEL based folk.

Will keep an eye out for the magical double status offer. Will also have a pay around with the ASP run.

Don't forget the AYQ (MEL-SYD-AYQ) run either. I did one of these when I had my DSC offer and got 480 SCs, well worth it for 72,000 points and $191.

I had previously done two of the MEL-SYD-ASP runs as well which all helped me requalify for my WP in the first 20 days of my membership year.
