I totally get that although I’m probably not into the same league. I’m feeling a little queasy about our 18 day Egypt/Israel/Jordan trip which will be fully escorted (think multiple armed guards as well as archeologists), a Cruise, alcohol at meals, most meals, internal flights, for $1,500 a day. Actually, it’s a bargain when I put it like that!
........
Is that per person per day or for the two of you? If so pretty cheap.

Yep. For two of us. $750pp/per day.
That’s pretty cheap considering the inclusions, though I always seem to hyperventilate when the cost hits about 15k!

FM should be in Sydney, sigh! :) Trip envy.

yes we have successfully made it to Sydney :). Just about to meet the other two for drinks on the roof bar (Rydges) before going to dinner.

Dr FM was flying to Brisbane for the weekend, so she met our flight for a quick hello before heading off.

Sydney seems a lot cooler than Canberra was - we felt quite sorry for the fur babies when we dropped them at their accommodation, although there were a lot of shady trees over the kennels. All 4 are in the same “apartment” so hopefully will be OK and not too lonely,

They will be plotting a breakout.:);)

There has been so much collective excitement over this trip, I think I will get withdrawal symptoms once you depart.
Hope it all goes well . enjoy...
This is a good thing. We get to anticipate without handing over the dosh or experience seasickness.

I was wondering who was going to mind the fur babies. :)

Then retired to our room to play Black Queen. We spent years playing this at airports with the kids to amuse them, so funny to be playing it again.

Tomorrow the real trip begins :)
