I need to go London-Perth (Aust)- London in late March for 7 days. I usually fly QF. Any suggestions where to look? I'm paying (not the company!), so looking at Y or Premium.

One of my co-workers just flew PER-KUL-London on Air Asia X
She was happy with the price but might consider the premium seats next time. more on the KUL-PER sector

You might also get a better fare in Y+/WT+ to SIN on QF/BA and a LCC SIN-PER

FinnAir also has deals (at least exOZ) connecting in HKG/NRT

Happy wandering

Fred

Havesome friends that often do the trip ex UK, apparently the middle eastern based airlines are very competitive at present! Apart from that, Royal Brunei have J available for 2000GBP which might not be a bad option given there is sleeper seats in the cabin on the longer leg, BYO alcoholic drinks.
