Over the last few months I have tried booking Melbourne Sofitel on various Accor promotions including 40% off but there is never any rooms available. I have tried various dates both weekends and during the week without luck.

Yesterday I received an email from Sofitel Melbourne with a 20% off club experience for July and August - no availability at all on various dates. Today an email from Sofitel with a Chic Aperitif promotion for Sofitel and MGallery hotels - I visit Melbourne near the end of August every year for a function and last year stayed at Sofitel on same promotion. As soon as I received the email I attempted a booking - no luck again.

I emailed the hotel to see if there was any availability for the promotion and the response back was that they do not have any availability for the promotion.

Have any others had any luck in booking Sofitel Melbourne on Accor Promotions?

I have never had any luck finding Sofitel Melbourne availability as part of the general Accor promotions, i.e. 40% off. I received the email about 20% off the club rooms, but didn't check availability, so can't comment on that specific promo.

Zig thanks for post. At least I know its not just me!

Was in Melbourne last weekend and stayed at Novotel. Well situated and staff pleasant but no spark for me.

Back at end of August and have booked the Grand Mercure on a promotion.

I have found this limited availability at most Melbourne Accor hotels except for Ibis on Accor promotions.

with multiple stays at the sofitel mel i would agree that the idea of a cheap room there is a pipe dream.

from memory the last 3 would have averaged $400 pm once you include parking and in melbourne, thats a lot of money. the sofitel, as good as the location is and as nice as the rooms would have been 15 years ago needs a revamp. value for money in melb the pullman on the park is a ripper, especially if you have lounge access. it's alittle out of the cbd but the ave night price when compared to the sofitel leaves plenty on money for an uber either way.

when looking at hotels on the accor website you can now access a 'price calendar' which ive found the easiest way of ensuring stays with flexablity are booked at the lowest rates. my two cents
