I am on way to Darwin i can choose room on 19 or 20 should i choose closer to the port or closer to chapel lane or mitchell st

Any of the rooms facing SW towards Mitchell St will be best, you will get views of the harbour.

It's not a massive deal, it has small windows (as with most Darwin hotels of a similar era due to post cyclone Tracy building codes) so forget any ideas of sweeping floor to ceiling windows with harbour views.

It's a good spot though.

just reporting my stay
purchased leading room upgraded to club but not the water side the view was very ordinary the club had lots of food and basic wine and G and t the breakfast downstairs was good
the room was refurbished as was teh ground floor and restaurant
my main complaint was the noise coming g from the next room and the restaurant next door. it was very loud.
so if you are deaf its a great place to stay!
