Any suggestions on using Krisflyer Points India to Europe

My wife and I have a cruise booked Mumbai to Athens departing 23 May 2024. We booked J redemption from Brisbane to Delhi arriving 18 May 2024 so we can have a week in India before the cruise. The points we used were coming up for expiry. Our return flight is a J redemption from Frankfurt to Brisbane on 18 June 2024.

With what is happening in the Red Sea I would expect the cruise will be cancelled so need to have a plan B. As the points we used for the redemptions would have expired last year I understand that we can not change the Brisbane to Delhi booking to a Brisbane to Europe booking (if there are any seats available) so will still go to India.

Will then need to find a flight from India (would prefer Delhi but flexible) in J. I have 170,000 points expiring in May that have already been extended. Is there any way I can use those points ( I have other points that do not expire for 2 1/2 years) to book that flight. I know that SQ codeshares with Vistara but from what I see those flight numbers are restricted to flights within India.

Any suggestions or advice?

Air India is also star alliance so maybe an option there?

Daft thanks for that. I went on the SQ website and tried some J redemption bookings to Europe. Did not know until now there is an option for Star Alliance bookings or other airlines.

Tried both features. There is J availability on Air India to Frankfurt and Amsterdam on 24 May 2024 and they are saver bookings for 61,000 points available. Nothing to Paris. The plane is a 787 with 2/2/2 seating in J.

At least we have options and I learnt there is a feature in booking redemptions that I did not know about before.

SQ web site is not the best option to search for *alliance availability. Use United or other tools to search for availability and then call SQ to book.

You might, for example, find availability to Paris via Frankfurt (e.g. Air India to FR and then Lufthansa to Paris; all on the same SQ award ticket).
