Any way of checking luggage through as unaccompanied?

I am flying with QF LHR-BKK and then a week later BKK-SYD after spending some time soaking in the sun. I have spent the last 6 months living in Germany and as such I have a lot of stuff with me. I plan on sorting my stuff into winter gear and summer gear during packing. Is there any way to have my winter gear bag sent on through from BKK to SYD and either delivered to my home address or for me to pick up once I am in Syd?

I have already looked into storage solutions at BKK (Left Luggage) and a quick google search shows a few problems with theft and as such I am not confident leaving my bag with them. Another alternative I have thought is since I am staying my first night in the Conrad, I could leave it with them during my time on Ko Samui and pick it up when I spend my last day in BKK. But this also depends on their willingness to keep the luggage for that period of time.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Some carriers accept unaccompanied luggage through their freight or cargo division. Or you could try send it as cargo with a conventional shipping company. Either way would be expensive though.
