I have a BOGO stay between xmas and new year in a 2 bed apartment, have never stayed here before and some of the reviews here and on trip advisor do not inspire confidence ....

I have not stayed for a little while, I suspect the biggest issue is the fact its out of the way and essentially in the middle of a residential area.It is a little old but noise should not be a problem, self catering is the go as the restaurants are limited in choice to one in house unless you want a decent drive.

Thanks. I was aware the Hotel was out of the way, but I think we will be going to Noosa one day and the beach the other, so I guess overall room time will be at night and in the morning, I would like to try out the pool and give the Jr family members a swim.

The pool is good for kids with our 2 year old at the time enjoying the shallower area, Golden Beach has that old holiday town feel to it which is nice!

Went there for a wedding recently and was quite unimpressed. Was in one bedroom exec. It is quite outdated. Golf course is great though.

Despite mentioning the minibar in the directory, they informed us they don't stock them any more.

Restaurant is very pricey for what they serve. Breakfast was average.

The air con in the room can only be set to on (at what felt like 10 degrees) or off (which made the place a oven).

If you aren't hanging around the hotel expecting 'resort' style, then it might be an ok base for a couple of free nights.

CP Pelican Waters - leaving IHG 20 December 2012

I checked in today, and was advised by front desk that this property is leaving IHG on December 20 2012.
They think will take down the CP branding, and operate as an independent property.

That would be just my luck, better call up and make sure they will still honour my booking ...
