Anyone else having problems getting Non-QA points & SC's credited??

I have twice this year had major delays getting non-Qantas flights credited for QFF points & SC's.

The first time was February when a number of Jetstar flights were not credited.

They used to take about a week and then suddenly nothing. I sent the claim request - again nothing. Finally sent an email and they were credited in 2 days.

The second time was some MAS flights I took in early May - 4 flights bouncing around between DPS-KLA-PEN and back.

I have left this until now (just got back from a Euro trip including a damp but enjoyable Le Mans 24 Hour race).

I am aware of the QFF advice that they can take up to a month, but again, zilch!!

Did all the right things when booking (added QFF number and checked it was one when I flew, flashed my QFF Gold card as well and got my lounge access).

Is this another QA glitch area like their call centre response times???

Cheers

(Confused) Chris

JQ flights were inconsistent at best - there was a point where it could take up to 8 weeks.

What fare bucket were the MH flights?

I have had the same problem with crediting to QF on MH Flights.

flew SDK-KUL-MEL in MH flying in J with and "I" class fare bucket back on March 28.

Nothing showed up in that 1 month period, I emailed the QF customer services team on May 9, provided the e-tickets. and miles and SC's were credited on 26 June.

You might be better off preempting the above by emailing QF with your e-tickets.

Same here re MH flights to QF points and SC. In "I" class, the sectors on the same PNR and connecting from/to QF in SIN to/from KUL have never posted for either of us. Last year, on the outbound legs (ex AU), I made a missing points claim on the QFF website; QF then posted "0" points and "0" SC. I rang the call centre from KUL and was asked to send in the e ticket and BPs, the correct points and SC were then posted a few days later. On the return sector, I did not bother with the "Claim Missing Points" step and went straight to sending an email with the same e-ticket and new BPs ("I" class)and a long email detailing my disappointment that I have to chase for the points/SC again instead of their being posted routinely.

The outbound sector on 15 June ("I" class SIN-KUL) has once again not posted yet. Will give it another day or so before sending in an email claim (with e-ticket and BPs).

Last year, 4 "D" class sectors booked directly with MH all posted 3 days after taking the flights. I told QF as much and asked if they'd figure it out and attend to the problem that may be causing those MH sectors booked through QF not posting. I guess they haven't figured it out or bothered as it is happening this year still.

And the boarding passes. Always take a photo of your BPs as soon as they are issued so that when you need to follow up with Qantas you just send one email.

Still got the boarding passes as I haven't updated my flight tracker for 2 years - actually have the equivalent of a brick of them now as I have been such a lazy git.

The flights were standard economy. Not worth taking better seats on such short flights (especially the up/down glide from KLA to PEN).

Still no credit for the MH flights dated 6, 9 & 12 May.

Read the fine print again and it is not a month but 28 working days that they officially have to load them - that is sneaky as with weekends alone that is equivalent to almost 6 weeks and not the month odd at first glance.

Their time is up to credit as even with the June public holiday, they should have credited by 23/06/2016.

Had a look at their last error on my statement (the JQ flights), and realised when they did credit them, they backdated the credit to 3 days after the flights.

Another sneaky to to make it seem they did the right thing up front.

Was was thinking of delaying the claim until my anniversary date at the end of July, but no point if going to backdate their effective date.

Have therefore claimed and will post the result.

..Still no credit ..... Read the fine print......that is sneaky....Their time is up ....they should have credited......Had a look at their last error .....Another sneaky ...........

Sorry but I dislike the general vibe here.

You "had a look at their last error"?? I understand that we can all get frustrated with credits, as the complexities of the airlines and alliances etc are absolutely frightening. But have a little patience and lose the attitude.

If you are going to attack an airline for their "last errors", at least name them correctly. It is QF, not QA.

Sorry, feeling grumpy.

I think you are being very harsh towards the OP.
It's July and flights taken early May still haven't credited???
I'd be grumpy too, all the way to the SST I think.

As for the QF/QA thing that's neither here nor there to the substance of the post.

I just claim via email directly now with BPs, that way it's assessed by a person instead of a machine first up.

Whether or not the OP is aiming for a new status level, credits are always better showing on your account than in limbo.

The way I read the OP's post is that SC have not appeared for a flight on another One World carrier, but that up until now he has done nothing to alert Qantas or get it fixed.

Allthough it is annoying that all carriers systems to do work together seamlessly, it is hardly unusual.

The OP further states that his intention was to NOT alert Qantas in the hope of claiming the SC after the end of his qual year, so they would go towards his new year. The error of this thinking is compounded by an apparent irritation on his part that Qantas (in the past with his Jetstar SC claim) "backdate" the effective date, which is exactly what they should do.

Still grumpy :)

He has contacted QF. I agree that there seems to be an error in thinking that the SC won't be backdated however you didn't mention this previously, only that you felt the OP should "lose the attitude".
I think you are wrong
YMMV

Thank you Princess Fiona for your comment - your first post is exactly my feeling.

Juddles, my issue is they don't do as promised.

I rarely made Gold while working.

The February JQ flights should have taken me to Gold over one month before I have did a major bucket list trip to Europe where it was all One World flights.

As as it was, my claim for the Feb flights was ignored and it was only a complaint email with 10 days before Europe that finally got this fixed.

My gold card arrived the day before I flew (some of the Euro based airlines only accepted lounge access with the card).

So I was grumpy myself but did not mention that issue as the post was about the delay in the points and SCs.

On the QA vs QF issue - humble apologies as I was in Bali mode when I posted :)

Follow up on Juddles comment regarding my trying to get SCs credited next anniversary year for the delayed credits.

Isn't this one of the reasons for AFF? To share if any loopholes to maximise our points and SC's???:cool::cool:

I agree that it is annoying, but it a part of life that third party tickets often have problems in SC crediting - it appears especially so with MH. The issue is most likely with MH and not Qantas. (having said that it is still a joint problem and responsibility for the airlines involved)

The way I understand your posts is that until yesterday you had not let Qantas know of the problem? In my experience Qantas are pretty quick to solve things if you send them scan of the boarding pass - the online claim is very hit and miss.

Well done on getting the Gold card just before travelling - that must have been a great sensation!! :)
