Anyone had luck booking 90K J Savers to Europe next summer?

I think Dave is looking for awards, not cash flights.
I realise that. I made the paid flight suggestion because many Frequent Flyers would never consider flying long haul Economy, let alone on points. And 3K one-way in Business ain’t too shabby! But to each their own.

Plenty of seats in QR J in Jan-26 if anyone is looking on the "new" DOH-CBR route that starts in Dec-25. using QR/BA Avios.

J seats on some days don't show up if you search specifically for DOH-MEL route but DOH-CBR shows up, maybe married segment logic?

On that SIN-FRA return is $4k return a lot of the time on SQ, in J

Hi everyone. I’m trying to fly to London (or nearby in Europe) in September 2025 for my little brother’s wedding. I cannot see any QR premium cabin availability utilising any route from an Australian airport to anywhere in Europe. I’m going to be based in Perth this year but I can be flexible on a departure point. Is this lack of availability to Europe typical for QR? I flew to Melbourne from Edinburgh in Jan 2024 and it really wasn’t that hard to find two seats in business heading this way. Should I anticipate a time when some reward seats could become available? Thanks in advance.

I booked Qatar 2 x J BCN/MEL for October 2025 in early November last year as soon as the flights opened up. I could literally book any flight I wanted. After a few weeks I tried to move the flight by a few days but there was zero availability. You really have to book a long way out or hope for last minute releases a month or so before. You could try a subscription at seats.aero which will show you the sector availability.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I’ve just subscribed to seats.aero. Any tips for monitoring? Should I put alerts on for the separate sectors?

Seats only searches in sectors. You're best to set alerts for the long difficult sectors like MEL-DOH. There seems to be more awards availability on the Doha to Europe sectors. Just select Velocity to see the QR availability. The site is a bit quirky to learn. You can cancel within the month if you don't need/like it. I set up a search and park the page as a bookmark and check it manually each day, as once seats.aero finds availability for even one of your watch alert flights, the alert subscription is cancelled.
