Anyone had trouble with Gold Status match IHG Priority?

After reading through most of the thread I can see that most AFF members have chosen to status match their gold with Hilton Honours but I chose IHG Priority club. The only problem is that was back in feb, I called velocity to see if they could do something about it back in early march but still haven't heard back.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, I had a few issues. I wasn't an IHG member when I applied. I waited about six weeks before contacting VA for a follow-up. They said everything had gone correctly at their end, and suggested contacting IHG.

To my surprise, Velocity had indeed done everything correctly - IHG had created an account in my name, with the matched status, less than a fortnight after I'd made the request to Velocity. Just that IHG never deemed it necessary to contact me to let me know that I was now a member. They also said they would post me a platinum card.

Of course, that card never arrived, although last week (ie after 12 months) I did receive a card for my newly achieved base-level status!

Yeah, I had the same experience. After the better part of a year as a Gold, I just got my card last week from IHG too - at 'Club' level.

Ditto for me, no card for gold, club card arrived early this week.

I gave IHG the big miss this time around as I had the same response as you guys.. When I got to plat with VA, I went for the HH program instead.. It still did not work as HH screwed it up.. I have diamond status with HH now, but it took a lot of followup and a lot of dead end calls and emails to get it..

In case there's any confusion - although I never received a platinum card from IHG, my account did have platinum status and I was treated appropriately (upgrades etc) on my three stays during the twelve months.

When a platinum card didn't arrive for me, I just put in an online request for a new card. That one arrived.

How long do these status match deals last? Received an email today and logged on for the first time.....seems I'm still Platinum.

IIRC the VA status match was around Sept 2011.

IHG Priority is an absolute joke - very few benefits and the 'service' is just a farce.

This will seem like a very dopey question, but how many cards should we have?

I have a bog standard PP card which shows my PC number on the back and then I have an IC Plat. Amb card which is the same member number as the PC, so does IC card trump the PC card, or double as both or am I missing a PC card (not that I want it)? As I paid for Amb, if I let that slip, will I then get a PC card?

I took up the offer last year on Verlocity. Never heard anything back. Contacted IHG two weeks back and they said would send it out. Still waiting.

Bump for an old thread... I have been waiting for 2 months to get the IHG upgrade and I have stayed with IHG properties four times in this period but nada, still pleb level. Who should I chase, Virgin or IHG ?

I would start with VA but also chase up IHG if necessary. (From my experience VA will respond and IHG will ignore you.)
