Anyone interested in a Dinner/Catch Up in Sydney on 28th May 2011?

Greetings One and All,

As Liam Rasmussen, AaronBradford (not sure about anyone else) and I are flying up to Sydney from Melbourne on the Virgin Australia A330 on the 28th March - we have been chatting about the possibility of a catch up/dinner in town since we are all in Sydney for the night.

I am aware that there is a function up north where many of our members will be - though perhaps some are not going and there are always locals who may still be in Sydney that evening...

Yes it is short notice - but anyone interested please let us know in this thread or PM myself, Liam or Aaron.

I especially call out to Newbies who are sometimes too shy to join in on these social events - the three of us are all quite new to this forum - so it is (so far) almost a New Member Meet

Aaron has a suggestion of a lovely place in town - though of course we are open to any ideas.

Since Liam's VA flights yesterday in 1F: I will work on him to convince the A330 crew to join us for dinner too, so that we will always be assured of priority seating/service when on board... what's the use of having him as a VA VIP if we can't abuse his benefits?

hmmm good point - we will all fill up at MEL... maybe somewhere we can pick at food and have a drink or two - then when Aaron gets tanked - make him get up and sing karaoke

Sergey - Aaron had soem place in mind - I will let him post. Our flight arrives about 8.30pm I think so unfortunately it may be a little late - so I doubt we will have a big turn out. I know Aaron and Liam and I are still up for it - even if it is just a quickie...

Hey Guys,

As we are arriving quite late into SYD - Aaron has to get to a birthday dinner and I have a 7.15 flight back to MEL the next morning (hence am staying at an Airport hotel) we have decided to postpone any drinks/dinner in Sydney on Saturday night.

On a side note: we will all be in the new Virgin Australia Lounge in MEL on Saturday before our flight on the A330 (dept 19.30).

Anyone who is around - look for the two young whipper-snappers (them) with the older guy with a young soul (yours truly ) - for a chat/drink!
