Hi E1, Can anybody help me choose a good deal to use as a pre paid sim for my iphone 3 for data only? I checked a few ( t-mobile , at*t etc ) however they dont seem cost effective enough. I cant see myself using any more than about 500mb a mth over there as most places have free wifi and im over there for 2 mths . Also, will my iphone 3g work over there? it is jailbroken, i did see on the t-mobile website it says something about 1700mhz iphone 3 not working or something.
Cheers in advance.

Guide for Mobile Voice & Data in the USA

I need to update this (I did the original guide). Basically AT&T is $50 for a month of unlimited calls/texts and 1GB of data.

There is a lower cost monthly plan, but when you add data in, it's more. This is a recent change (and painful for me as it used to be $25 for 500mb and 10c/minute for calls which was perfect for me).

Keep in mind using T-Mobile with an iPhone will result in non-3G or 4G connectivity, you will be dropped to EDGE or GPRS speeds (which are worse than dialup modem speeds were back in the day).

AT&T have a 850mHz network so you'll have full 3G with them.

well i just went into an at&t store here in LA and they said they dont have any plans at all for pre paid with data bah thats a spew. anybody else have any ideas?

DeKa I tried that linkl however thank you for your time however I did look into this link ages ago and it comes up with a price of $317 for my two months and only has an allowance of 300mb per day, did i read this wrong ?

Did you read my post showing how to use AT&T for pre paid? The stores will say no as it's not official
