ANZ Frequent Flyer 20k Points offer

Just wondering...do you guys not worry that applying for many credit cards within a relatively short period of time affects yoiur credit rating, esp when you want to get a home loan etc? This stops me from applying for more cards (for the sign up points), having already got a Citibank Plat card, 28 degrees card, Amex Plat card and Diners (doesn't really count as it is a charge card)

As far as I know it has to do with the total limit of all cards and hence the replayments can be a liability. When I got my anz plat card they gave me $50k limit, reduced it as soon as I got the card

Ive had the cards for years and get quite a lot of points from it, prob over 50k per year (use it for everything and pay off to avoid interest). Best card is my work diners, 150k points so far in 12 months and still 50 to cash in

ok well... my points posted today :D

yay! time to cancel the cards (and just in time because NAB just turned my QF Gold Cards into QF Plat Cards :D)

How long do they date to post?

about 2 months...

from what i can gather its cause the clause says you need to have a clean slate ie not be overdue payments each and every month.

so first month was charged the fee + a charge and then the 2nd month had no charges so it was clean and posted.
