Card Offers ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum Credit Card: 75,000 bonus Qantas Points + $100 back

Applied for this card with the lower credit to increase success & received approval after 2.5 weeks. Had 2 phone calls, initial call didn’t sound positive with offshore lady advising I had 2 credit cards still on my file & not stated on application. I replied advising I had intention to close these accounts, which I only did with one, left the other 15k open and approved!! She said that the application is only open for 84 days which I was fine with to have them slowly progress it. Sent through all paperwork, ensured I outlined in email the name of the deposits for rental income, CC closure letter & bank statements with refinement to clearly outline wages. Will now be awaiting my further 7 months until I can go back to an AMEX Card.

Don't think it's going to happen for me. They asked to call back, then didn't answer line to send email. Sent email, they replied to say send times to call. Sent email, they said to give application number. Sent email again twice, they haven't called or emailed at all in about 3 weeks...

Good grief, their operations are still a mess after all this time.

Nice one Dr Ralph, got approval 22nd of April, haven't came across a fee free offer for some time..

When did you apply? Tempted by this for obvious reasons but missed it when it was up on Point Hacks. There doesn't seem to be a date on the website but offers have been queried for less.

The offer ended 24 March & I’m still awaiting my card although only approved 9 April but still 2 weeks later.. still no card!!

Probably delayed on both ends of manufacturing the card & the post being slower than normal especially to WA but 2 public holidays wouldn’t of helped.

Fingers crossed for Tuesday 🤞

I met the spend requirement before my 2nd statement, I received my statement a few days ago and the points hit the same time the staetment did. Yay good job ANZ in showing us that it doesn't need to be a difficult to get our bonus points (same goes to citibank actually)

EDIT, just tried the post 1 link kindly supplied from @Dr Ralph on a different device and it come up again. 😁

Is the "account fee" synonymous with 'no annual fee'. (It doesn't usually say "account" fee).

"and no annual account fee for the first year on your new ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum card".

Very late to this one and the free first year link is defunct, unless someone has another idea?

In the T&Cs:

"For ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum, a Total Annual Fee of $295 applies which includes a $240 Annual Account Fee and a $55 Rewards Program Services Fee."

75k points for $55 would still be the best deal out there I can see at the moment.

Don't want my app to time out again, but is there a min credit limit to qualify for the points - just checking it is $6,000? Thanks

it is, unless you can consider business cards, can get 70k for $0 on business.

Hi,
Is the original offer
ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum: 75,000 QFF points. $0 fee
still available ?
Does your comment '75k points for $55' mean that it is available but the $55 Rewards Program Services Fee needs to be paid in the 1st year ?

Please excuse my ignorance. Regards, John

The link in the first post still works. And yes it’s $55 for you to actually get your points into your Qantas account. Once you’ve done the required spend and you have the points it’s quite a good idea just to cancel the card.

I don't believe the original offer is still available. It looks like a similar but slightly worse deal at the same link. From the t&cs yes you must pay the $55 in the first year.
