Hoping someone may be able to confirm this for me from their own experiences before I act.

I currently have a ANZ frequent flyer black card credit card which feeds into QFF points. I've read the terms, but wanted to confirm that I am not excluded from making an application for the ANZ Rewards Platinum card (Rewards Platinum credit card | ANZ), because I currently hold the ANZ frequent flyer black card credit card. My reading of the terms indicates that the rewards credit cards are treated separately for the purposes of exclusion periods.

I prefer QFF points, but am about to hit a 3 month period when exclusion periods will prevent me from applying for any other card. So I was thinking of taking this card for that period and sending the points to Velocity for a rainy day.

Anyone see any potential problems here?

You're confirming that ANZ do not enforce the 12 months exclusion period? Or are you saying that you got the points for different types of card from ANZ, which is explicitly permitted under the terms of the offer?
I got the points from different card types. Cancelled one type and applied for the other type within 12 months. Previously there has been confusion on this site about the validity of such a thing. I don't know of a statement explicitly permitting such a thing?

I've not tried applying for the same card type within the 12 month period so I cannot comment there.

Interested in why you would go the platinum over the black, given the lower earn (but lower annual fee and lower spend threshold vs the 120k black offer). The internet banking 75k black offer is one eligible purchase but same annual fee/cashback.
Unless there is a different internet banking platinum offer?

I am sure ANZ has always allowed that and that its clearly written up in the offer terms.
NAB also

I know they have allowed it, what I am saying is that I don't think ANZ have ever explicitly said: "if you have held a FF card in the last 12 months, you can still apply for an ANZ rewards card and get the bonus because they are in two different rewards programs".
It would not make a whole lot of sense for them to go out and say something to that effect, ie to entice hitting and quitting.

I have just received my new ANZ Platinum card. However it is an ANZ Rewards Visa Platinum card. I was sure I applied for the ANZ Platinum Frequent Flyer Card, but now I am not sure.
What are my chances of getting this card changed to the Frequent Flyer card as I want to credit my points to QFF.

Thanks @theblank for your reply.
I phoned them today and after about 30 mins they have sorted it out and will change it over to QF rewards card. I was quite impressed with the ANZ service. I have not activated the card so I will wait for the new one in the mail.
