Credit Card Offers ANZ Rewards Platinum Card: 100,000 bonus ANZ points + $50 back

Potentially a dumb question - do I do this on ANZ website or Velocity website?
How to set up ANZ Rewards Auto-Redemption

To be eligible for this offer, as soon as you’ve received and activated your new ANZ Rewards Platinum credit card, switch on and keep on ANZ Rewards Auto-Redemption by following these steps:

  1. Join the ANZ Rewards and Velocity Frequent Flyer programs (if you haven't already)
  2. Visit the ANZ Rewards Velocity Frequent Flyer page and Set up auto-redemption
  3. You'll then be prompted to log in to your ANZ Rewards account
  4. Set up auto-redemption and enter your Velocity member number.
  5. Press Submit then review and confirm your auto-redemption.
Remember to keep your auto-redemption on until you receive the redemption email or SMS, which will include a Reward Code to claim your 75,000 Velocity Points and 30 Status Credits.

Thank you @cagiva - I will follow these steps. Out of curiosity, I hit the minimum spend on the same day my card was activated. I did not set up the ANZ Rewards profile or turn on auto redemption ... will this invalidate the minimum spend achieved?

Not sure. Potentially since auto redemption or more importantly ANZ rewards was not yet set up. Let us know once you find out for sure. Good luck.

I am still waiting on everything from card activated in Nov 22. Was told on the phone a week ago that I was eligible and not receiving benefits is very rare. Have filled in the complaint form now and will keep waiting.

Still waiting to hear from them 5 weeks from application.

After a frustrating back and forth, a phone call to their 13 number (where they only took my application and phone number and said someone would be in contact), on the 14th of April I received an email that ANZ was trying to contact me, and that was the last I heard from them. I submitted a complaint form on the 24th after not hearing from them and …… nothing.

I do not know why the application has not been approved as I provided all the requested documentation and have not been advised either way.

Thoughts?

AFCA complaint.

Another data point - I met the required spend 2 days after the first statement and have everything set up for auto redemption as required. I have received my third statement. ANZ have advised I will get the bonus on my fourth statement.
The card is decent but that's a long time to wait for a sign up bonus in anyone's book.

Just received an sms today (strangely enough).
"From ANZ: Sorry for the delay in contacting you. Your complaint is important to us, and the ANZ Complaint Team will get back to you as soon as possible. If you no longer require assistance and your complaint can be withdrawn, reply WITHDRAW."

I might apply for a Westpac card instead.

Update to this

I signed up for ANZ rewards and turned on auto redemption after I had made the minimum qualifying spend. A week or two after the sign up, I got the text message that I have qualified to receive the sign in bonus etc.

Now 6.5 weeks since application and one week since last sms telling me my complaint is important to them. I receive this sms today "Dear Customer, we are sorry for the delay in contacting you. Your complaint is important to us, and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience."
Not sure what they are doing and if my complaint has stalled the application process. If they are going to decline it they might as well let me know!

Update.
Phone rang yesterday, Answered it and said "hello" about 4 times then was hung up on. Then I got an sms that ANZ were going to ring me. The phone only rang once so missed call!
Early this morning I got another call from Complaints. After speaking to them, finally, they transferred me to an assessment team member. She said "hello" and the line dropped out, didn't even get a name. I thought she would have phoned back but it was not to be.
This afternoon my phone rings again (same number) and I thought "here we go again!". The man who phoned me asked me one question. He wanted to know where some deposits on my statement were coming from. Cleared this up he then said "Your application is now approved".
Woooooohooooo.
It only took almost 8 weeks to get there. Now just have to get the card and do the rest.
Never been through such an ordeal to get a credit card approved.

Hi all. Received card yesterday, activated today and set up auto-redemption. Now to get on with the spend!
Just one thing I noticed afterwards (should read and ask before but I re-read and thought about it).
My Letter of Offer does not mention $50 cash back. Was not expecting there to be mention of points etc. Is this normal?
Thanks in advance.

Yes . Normal

Just got an email from ANZ "We'd love your feedback"... "We'd appreciate you taking a few minutes to complete our customer feedback survey. Your feedback helps us identify opportunities for improving the ANZ customer experience."
Where do I start! I'll have to think about this one and, should I have some time to throw away, give them an insight on the application process.

Still waiting into my 5th month. Complaint in with complaints team who will 'get back to me'
Been a while since I logged in to the forum. But about 3 weeks after that post I got my complaint resolved. I have recieved the points, status credits and 50$ credit. But have not recieved the flight credit. hm.

The same happened to me (only getting the points and SC after lodging a complaint). I didn't get the flight credit either. I closed my card in January 2023 after getting the points and SC, and then in April out of nowhere got the flight credit email. The same happened with my partner - I think it's just a matter of waiting a few months, annoyingly.
