This is weird. I applied late Oct and met the minimum spend early Dec. Still waiting for email. My partner signed up a month after me and just met the minimum spend early this month but already got the email.

I called last week and was told that there's no way that can be done over the phone and I must wait for the email
I can confirm this. I rang ANZ cards yesterday and was advised that even though I had provided my Velocity number to them when I originally rang to enquire a month ago nothing will happen until you receive the email and respond. You must wait for the email.

The ANZ staff member also advised it can be up to 90 days after you meet minimum spend (I thought T&C's were 60 days?) before you get the email. She also stated the incorrect info around some being able to supply your Velocity number over the phone to receive the bonus points was due to a bit of a mix-up between internal work areas at ANZ (her words paraphrased by me).

My 3 months after minimum spend will be in about 10 days so will wait and see.

The T&C's were 60 days. If you are outside that I'd be escalating to their complaints area and asking for compensation.

Passed 90 days here for the Mrs and nothing.Called ANZ and they asked her to call Rewards... Will be asking for comp.

Email arrived today. Applied early January, spend met sometime in February.
Points posted instantly upon return of email

After waiting 92 days, I finally got the code but via SMS and no email.

Anyone else get this email?

If you were looking at transferring to SQ:

75k VA transferred to SQ KF at 1.55 : 1.
75k VA = 48,387 KF.

KF miles transfer at 3:1.
Minimum 1500 ANZ rewards points = 500 KF miles, in 1500 ANZ point increments.
150k ANZ = 50k KF

In this case you would be better off taking the ANZ 150k offer, which not only bypasses the VA uncertainty but gives you a couple of thousand extra miles.
Unless you want to get WW gift cards instead 😂

For those hitting and quitting, might be able to push for a refund of the annual fee because the flight and lounge pass can't be used right now.

An important update on bonus Velocity Points offer

You recently applied for an ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures credit card.

At the time of your application, ANZ was offering 75,000 bonus Velocity Points to eligible applicants who met the minimum spend criteria within 3 months’ after approval (Joining Bonus Points).1

You may be aware that Velocity has temporarily suspended the redemption of Velocity Points.
How does this affect me?

In light of uncertainty about redemption of Velocity Points, if you qualify for the Joining Bonus Points, ANZ proposes to credit you with 150,000 ANZ Reward Points instead of 75,000 Velocity Points.

ANZ Reward Points can be redeemed straight away. Check out the many rewards available including products and gift cards at anzrewards.com. For your reference 150,000 ANZ Rewards Points could get you $650 in gift cards for well-known retailers like Woolworths, David Jones, JB, Bunnings and many more.
What do I need to do next?

If you are happy to be credited 150,000 ANZ Reward Points instead of 75,000 Velocity Points should you qualify for the Joining Bonus Points, there is nothing you need to do. The ANZ Rewards Points should reach your account within 30 days after you’ve qualified.

However, if you would still prefer 75,000 bonus Velocity Points if you qualify for the Joining Bonus Points, please let us know by clicking here by 16 May 2020.2

Yours sincerely,

ANZ customer care team

The bonus Velocity Frequent Flyer Points will be credited to your Velocity account within two months of ANZ receiving your Velocity number after the eligible spend criteria is met. If you transfer or cancel your new ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures credit card account before the introductory bonus Velocity Points are processed to your Velocity account, you may become ineligible for these bonus Velocity Points. ANZ will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever resulting from a delay in the process of receiving and or approving an application or activating the card. Purchases which are not eligible to earn Rewards Points are described in the ANZ Rewards – Rewards Program Terms and Conditions Booklet fees, cash advances, cash equivalent transactions, balance transfers and transactions for gambling or gaming purposes and reversed or refunded transactions will not count towards your qualifying eligible purchases. You must be a Velocity member to receive bonus Velocity Points. Velocity membership and Velocity Points earn and redemption are subject to the Velocity Member Terms and Conditions, available at velocityfrequentflyer.com, as amended from time to time. Membership of Velocity is the cardholder’s responsibility. Credit card issued by Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited ABN 11 005 357 522. Australian Credit Licence Number 234527. Great deal for 50k SQ points or even the $650 in gift cards for a more immediate use.

Thank you. My wife's 75K was never transferred to Velocity and we have not chased it up for obvious reasons. So now it will be timely to push instead for 150K of ANZ reward Points.

Thanks. I called them the other day as my bonus points were due. They said they were working on a solution and this like a decent one.
