April 1 - Anyone's status drop down yet

Mine is currently showing Diamond with the following little note, Based on nights earned this year, your 2015 tier would be Blue.

What does that mean, does it mean I am Diamond until 31st March next year?

I don't think so, because mine says the same.

I had enough stays for Gold, but certainly not Diamond.

The mystery deepens. Seems lots of mistakes in status levels happening lately. HH has told me previously that the 3 additional months was to give staff time to process the status changes as it is done manually.......perhaps the process is no longer done manually and HH has employed the same programmers that VA used in their changeover to Sabre? Just saying.............

I'm not sure whether it actually clicks over at midnight in the USA, somewhere. Maybe give it a bit more time.

Anyway, my Diamond renewal card has already arrived in the mail, so I'm right for another 12 months.

Mine still says Diamond. I should be a Silver based on last year, but may have to give it a few days.

Not the first time that a loyalty programme has taken at least a few days to reflect my new status (usually a drop). If it still says Diamond in a couple of weeks, I'll be flabbergasted.

I've got the same note on mine, and as it is now 1 April in USA I'm hoping it will stick. 1 stay in the last 12 months but 2 coming up. Fingers crossed.

Same situation here and to add to the puzzle I just received a silver HH card in the mail today which is what I should be based on 2013 stays.

To confuse things even further, 2 weeks ago I activated the VA SG Hilton status benefit, anticipating the drop down from diamond today, so hopefully if that occurs I should quickly drop back up to Gold.

I just received a Silver card in the post even though I had 20 stays last year - so I should have dropped to Gold (from Diamond). I've sent them an email.

If they push it I'll just go click this on the Velocity site:

I'll be Platinum in a few months so will have a Diamond bump up my sleeve anyway!

Well you'll be one better off than me! Gold HH, should drop to blue or silver, but 'fortunately' have dropped on VA from plat to gold, hence have another match waiting to kick in when I do - at least that is what I'm expecting.

Congratulations! Enjoy the benefits of being a Diamond member!

Based on points earned this year, your 2015 tier would be Silver.

Still showing Diamond, but when I drop down to VA Gold I am going to try to re-register for Hilton Gold, but my last recollection of this is that it doesn't work but we'll see

Worse case I'll be Silver which is no big deal really except for WiFi access overseas which would make Gold so much better, but my attention is turning towards SPG now as they offer far better SQ points earn :D

So the stay counter is wrong - which might be why it disappeared last year. I was just under (which is annoying as I only had that 20th stay to get 20 stays - I didn't need it) :|

I'll just kick off Gold through VA so not fussed.

I am going to try to re-register for Hilton Gold, but my last recollection of this is that it doesn't work

I was just about to post that in reply to the other saying they'd re-register HH xx via the VA promo. I have a whole suite of re-registrations just waiting, so I'm hoping they will work, but I too recall some posts saying they had no luck with them.

Hopefully we'll start hearing more anecdotes come in soon as to whether or not the second (third?) status matches are continuing to work.

Mine still says Diamond. I should be a Silver based on last year, and I just got a silver card in the mail, first time ever getting a HH membership card. So it will be interesting with next weeks stay as to what it shows on there system when I book in.

Mine still says Gold.

With a footnote of "To maintain Gold status in 2015, you need 17 more stays". I cannot see that happening.

As of 10.25 AEST I am now Silver.:( I applied for the VA HH gold benefit around 2 weeks ago, so will see what happens there. If that doesn't work I will give HH a call and asking for a fast track or challenge, as I've got 3 stays / 9 nights booked already between now and the end of May.

I am back to blue, but my 3 stays over my time as diamond were nothing memorable which I guess is why I didn't bother to pursue renewing it.

The sole advantage was that they let me check in for a day use room at LAX at 8am rather than make me wait until the standard day use check-in time which I think was 9am. No room upgrades, and was told in both SIN and LAS no access to executive lounge.

I'll continue with my usual tactic of selecting my hotel based on a combination of location and price rather than brand loyalty.

Not necessarily.

In recent months that counter has related to 2014 stays only.

What should be important is what the counter showed on December 31st last year.

You should know by tomorrow.

well stayed a Diamond til just before.. dropped back to Blue.. now to bump it back to Gold with the MP link!
