Hi everyone,
Just wanted to ask if anyone has heard any rumours or news if BA are jumping back on the LHR-SIN-SYD kangaroo route this year now that NSW is opening up fully. Currently they still are only operating from April 2022 I believe.

Solution
This is in the unverified galley gossip category but I have just read on my BA Gold Facebook group that Flights may be happening. Resuming from December via SIN using the VTL program.
Hello everyone! Recently booked BA to London (via Singapore) on business using my Qantas points. Any further news as to if this will be a VTL flight? Nothing mentioned on the BA or Singapore government website thus far

Anyone have an updates on this?

I was just looking at BNE-SYD-SIN in April (around Easter) and saw the BA flight as an option.

The departure time is good and it's slightly cheaper than SQ but I guess there is no guarantee it'll operate (and operate as a VTL flight). I guess if they do cancel they'd rebook on a different carrier?

I still think BA would need Australia to be reopen to British tourists and probably Europeans as well to make the route viable. It remains to be seen when we will reopen to that extent.

I’m looking around October and seeing Y and PE award flights SYD-SIN but unfortunately no J.
If I have to pay I will but was hoping to find some availability to SIN with any carrier. I guess I’ll just wait and see if SQ make any available for VA this year

Late last year I was able to book PE SYD-SIN-LHR in May and apply a GUF so there must be some J awards available. As long as they are not limited to married segments of course.

Cheers. Pre Covid there was generally always some availability on BA for the SYD-SIN leg but nothing currently. I’ll keep checking though.
