Are lounge passes transferable?

When you get to silver (reach, maintain or drop down to) your account is loaded with two lounge passes. Reading that QF is going the same route but mentions they are transferable, I was wondering if the VA ones are too?

I currently have two, but won't need them as I can access the lounge via the Amex Platinum card. So if transferable, I'd like to transfer them to someone who can make use of them. Is this possible?

Not at the moment. You are able to use them for someone travelling with you however.

I was wondering this too.. have 2 sitting on my account that I am neve likely to use as I'm WP and only usually travel with my wife. However I'd happily transfer them to a family member to use.

You can use it in addition to your regular lounge allowance. In your situation, that's probably the only way they're going to get used.
