Are Qantas A380's still grounded?

Also don't forget interiors are spec'ed by the airline not the producer of the aircraft, they are just installed by airbus. Well thats sort of how it works anyway but my point is its probably not Airbus's fault.

Yep:!: When I was in NZ 2 years ago I met a bloke who works for a company in Australia who does aircraft fitouts/upgrades for Qantas.

Recently a friend travelled on an Emirates A380 from DXB to AKL (Y) and he noticed in several places that the aircraft was looking rather tatty with torn carpet, peeling plastic, etc and during a quiet moment on the flight he made his way to the galley to ask the cabin crew about it,apparently the crew said that this particular plane was their 2nd A380 and was delivered late last year.
Emirates it seems are not that happy with the quality control on the A380 and have had several meetings with Airbus management to iron out the problems.

Can anyone please tell me what the current pattern of days the A380 is flying between Sydney and Melbourne to LAX? I'm hoping to pick up one of these cheap flights for November before the current sale ends on Monday. :D

Fly - Qantas A380

This is the implementation schedule for the A380. Keep in mind that scheduled aircraft can change on these routes (Just happened to me on SYD-LHR). These cheap sales to the US just keep on going and going! I'd be surprised if it's not still cheap after Monday!

Just to add some more information to the discussion, I also booked for the a380, QF12 sunday 30th aug, and it's now showing up as a 747. I suppose I don't really mind, but it's a little disappointing. If i recall correctly, the a380 was running out of T4 here in LAX due to it's size, and i really prefer the actual QF lounge in Tom Bradley as opposed to the Admirals Club over in 4, so that's a positive. My sister and I got upgraded to W on the way over (747 again) a few months ago, so here's hoping for that again :)
