I am not aware of any web site you can use to book a LxCIR29SA or a LxONE4 on-line. So you will need to book through an agent or an airline.

If it was my money being spent, I would be calling the AA Round-The-World desk and booking it with them. AA do not charge as much in fuel surcharges (the believe fuel is part of the ticket cost and the competition levels in the USA mean they need to keep it that way).

All of my xCIRxx and xONEx fares have been booked through our corporate TA and they have always used QF to bounce off the rules and tax/surcharge calculations.

I hope that Chile are the team we play - Uraguay and Columbia have to play Brasil and Argentina (best of luck beating those two teams). I would hate to have to play against Uraguay again (remembering the disappointment last time)....

At least Montevideo, Uruguay is easier to get to than Bogota, Colombia (and probably less hassle by customs after you return).

LAN fly SCL-MVD daily. So could include that on a Circle Pacific or OneWorld Explorer fare. Might have to get in early to secure L class availability on SYD-AKL-SCL. Make sure you look for all options, include the QF codeshare as well as breaking it into two sectors for SYD-AKL and AKL-SCL as availability can vary between the through flight and the individual sectors.
